The following steps outline how to submit a leave request in = Unit4 when you hold Multiple Positions. All employee= s will use this module to submit requests for any type of planned leave fro= m their regular working hours (i.e. Vacation).
Sele= ct the position that is affected - Use All Positions = to apply the absence to multiple positions.
IMPORTANT:
Each position holds its own balance, so you MUST submit= an absence request for EACH position that you hold t= o cover the entire request. By only selecting one (of multiple positions) y= ou will effectively be requesting less than your actual workload.
view=
ing the "Summary" section
NOTE:
When selecting "Full Day", for two or more part time po= sitions, the summary will display the sum of hours requested multiplied by = the number of positions (i.e. 1 day =3D 7 hrs, 2 days absence from 2 pa= rt time positions =3D 14 hours). Don't worry! These balanc= es do not transfer directly to your Payroll. Rather,= Payroll runs a report to cross reference against the actual FTE of each po= sition and applies that value of actual hours to your payroll and balances.=

For example, in December 2023, I remember to go back and input a = request for vacation that I took in November 2023. I back date the request = in the request screen and submit for approval as normal. However, if I don&= amp;apos;t remember to submit until January 2024, then I need to email my S= upervisor and HR@selkirk.c= a for that adjustment to be applied.
