Step 1:

Carefully read the Welcome letter that has been sent to you by the College when your registration was accepted.

This contains the information needed for you to gain access to the Selkirk College student email, computer labs, Moodle sites (online learning platform).

Step 2: 

Follow those instructions step by step in the order provided. Make note of the passwords that you have created.  Your username and password are synchronized so you only have to remember one set to access the sites mentioned in Step 1.

Step 3:

If your course uses Moodle to deliver content:

  • Go to the Moodle site that has been provided to you in your Welcome email from the College.  Selkirk uses more than on site to deliver content.  Ensure you are entering the correct url in your browser.
    • https://arts.selkirk.ca/   - Digital Arts and Music courses
    • https://online.selkirk.ca/ - Fully Online Programs: Nursing Unit Clerk, Golf Club Operations, Pharmacy Technician Program, Office Administration and Technology Programs
    • https://moodle.selkirk.ca/ - All other courses and programs, such as:  University Arts & Science, Business Administration,  Nursing, Health Care Assistant, Rural Pre Medicine, Gerontology Programs, Social Service Worker, Education Assistant & Community Support, Law & Justice, International Education, Integrated Environmental Planning, Forestry, Recreational Fish and Wildlife, Environment & Geomatics, Cook Training, Hospitality & Tourism.
    • https://trades.selkirk.ca/  - Electrical, Fine Woodworking, Plant Operator, Millwright/Machinist Programs


Fully Online Courses:

If this is a fully online course you will have received an email from your instructor providing you with:

  • The url of the course which will take you to the correct learning space
  • The name of the course
  • The enrollment key if one is used.
  • Have this information handy when you are ready to access your courses.

Once you are on the correct Moodle site "Log In".  Click on the Log in link at the top right of the page to Log in.

Note:  Your course may not be ready for student access until just before the course start date.  Your instructor may provide you with an availability date in the letter.
