Ricoh MFPs & Printers

Step-by-step guide

  1. Turn off the main power before performing any cleaning.
  2. Gently wipe the device's touch screen or operation panel with a anti-bacterial wipe or spray. Lint-free microfiber cloths are recommended.
  3. After cleaning, wait ~10 minutes for any residual moisture to evaporate before turning the device back on.

What Can I Use?

Most types of anti-bacterial or sprays can be used.

Using a Spray Bottle?

DO NOT spray directly on the device touch screen or operational panel, as getting liquid inside these items could case internal component damage.  Instead, lightly moisten a cloth and gently wipe down the screen and / or operational panel. AVOID paper towel as they may scratch the touch screen or panels.

What Should I Avoid?

  • Do not use bleach, ammonia and other harsh cleaning solvents as the touch screen could eventually become clouded and require replacement.

  • Do not use wipes containing sodium hypochlorite (bleach) or chlorine based solutions.

  • Do not use Ketone type materials (ex. Acetone), Ethyl alcohol, Toluene, Ethyl acid, or Methyl chloride.
