IT Services has implemented an HTML warning for externally originating messages to help prevent phishing attacks.  All messages received from external (i.e. non "@selkirk.ca" addresses) will display the following warning.


Microsoft Outlook Mail and Outlook on the Web (OWA) are the officially supported applications used to access Selkirk College email for employees.

How can I access the Outlook Mail client?

Windows 10:

You can access your O365 email through the Outlook Mail client on any Selkirk College staff desktop or laptop (notebook) via the Windows start menu.

Should the software not be pre-installed, please access Software Centre to download and install the most recent version.

Microsoft Outlook Mail client is available by installing the Microsoft Office Pro 2019 package listed under the Applications tab in Software centre as shown below.

MacOS:

You can download the Outlook mail client from Microsoft directly or via the Apple App Store.

Access authorization must be requested from IT Services.

Web browser:

If you'd like to access your email without using the Outlook Mail client, please consult Using Outlook on the Web for O365.

Mobile phones:

Email can also be accessed by Outlook Mail App on iOS and Android mobile devices. Please follow the directions see Using Mobile Devices with Outlook 365 Email.

Troubleshooting Outlook Mail

  1. Check https://go.Selkirk.ca for current services status and outages.
  2. Confirm that your computer is updated and running Windows 10 version 20H2.
  3. Log into portal.office.com to confirm your mailbox is working.
  4. Use Google Chrome web browser Incognito mode to access portal.office.com.
  5. Submit a ticket to Helpdesk for assistance with information you've gathered in steps 1.-4.


You will need to modify the macro settings and add the labels for your page.  Do not include staff and student labels.
